Led by Pavel Shemiakin, Audinate Certified Instructor
DATE: 3rd and 4th September 2024 (Tuesday & Wednesday) TIME: 10am to 4pm at PRO LAB Experience Center
DAY 1 - AUDINATE Dante Level 1 Certification Training
The Dante Certification Program lets your employers and customers know that you have the knowledge and skills to implement Dante networks. It also ensures a consistent vocabulary, set of methods and knowledge are in common as individuals work together on design, operation and maintenance. This class provides a foundation in audio, video and networking, then applies it all to the Dante Platform. After this class, students should be comfortable operating a system on a single switch, may be all that is required to assemble and operate a small, stand-alone Dante audio system. To complete Level 1 Certification, an online test must be passed after completing this course. Agenda:- Who is Audinate & What is Dante
- A Simple Demonstration
- Network Solution vs Digital Snake
- Basics of Digital Audio
- Basics of Digital Video
- Dante Ports & Connections
- Tour of Dante Controller
- Latency
- Dante is Standard Networking
- Dante Links to a Computer
- Conclusion
DAY 2 - AUDINATE Dante Level 2 Certification Training
It is highly suggested that students take Level 1 (2nd Ed) before taking this class - even for long time users of Dante. Level 1 focused on getting the student comfortable with a simple Dante on a single network switch. This Level 2 class will step that up, offering perspective on designs spanning multiple networks switches, traffic optimization, redundant networks, and working on a system managed by Dante Domain Manager. It also offers a view of firmware updates and Dante presets that can be helpful in managing the network. The network concepts taught here will start to delve far deeper than required to operate a Dante network. However, exposure to these concepts will help students understand networking more deeply, which instils more confidence in working on a network. Also, the skills learned in this class will prepare students to continue on to Level 3 (2nd Ed). Agenda:- IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway
- Helpful Network Concepts
- Automatic Addressing
- VLANs & Trunk Lines
- TCP vs UDP
- Unicast, Multicast & Broadcast; Dante Flows
- Quality of Service (QoS)
- Clocking (Layer 2)
- Redundant Networks
- Dante Presets
- Device Lock
- Firmware Updater
- Basics of Dante Domain Manager
- Conclusion
