The Pequod catalog is enriched with a new line of ovoid subwoofers, extremely compact, designed around 8” quality long-excursion transducers.
Abraxas is the system based on two 8” transducers. The double ovoid structure, interconnected, guarantees extreme rigidity. Made of composite materials, it guarantees extreme reliability and resistance to impacts, scratches and atmospheric agents, together with extreme lightness. The close correlation with the larger system, Borea, based on a 12” transducer, is immediately evident.
About Abraxas we find the same characteristics, in relation to precision and extreme cleanliness of emission. Extreme control and absence of perceptible distortions are fundamental characteristics of the new Abraxas system. The chosen transducers are 8 “long- stroke, extremely high-performance, with a treated and damped paper cone, with a generous ferrite magnetic system, and a 2” voice coil. The overall performance makes it suitable for small spaces where extreme quality is required in the reproduction of low frequencies. The system is extremely compact and suitable for being placed in small areas or with irregular geometries. The typical aesthetics of our products also in this case allows us to combine elegance, compactness, rigidity and functionality in a quality system.
