The VERA S32, a compact, flyable subwoofer belonging to the VERA20 series, equipped with an 18” driver in the front and a 14” driver rearwards. Both long throw high-performance chassis are perfectly aligned and due to the various operating modes, it offers a highly flexible system that is convincing in any given acoustical situation.
The cardioid mode is optimised for maximum attenuation of the rearward sound dispersion, achieving attenuation greater than 15 dB over the entire bass spectrum. The end-fire mode is optimised for maximum sound pressure at the front with a simultaneous partial reduction at the rear. The advantages are obvious: Because of their directionality, the subs sound much more concrete and musical, especially in venues with a lot of reverb. The players on the stage, as well as possible neighbours behind the stage are spared of the effects of excessive bass levels.
The VERA S32 remained a compact subwoofer. With its 60 cm system width and the integrated rigging hardware, the sub can perfectly be integrated into a VERA20 array. Due to its coherent phase response it offers a plug’n’play option with a lot of TW AUDiO tops and subs, becoming an economical audiophile extension.
