The white Dublin TCX10 10″ Two-Way Loudspeaker from Turbosound is a passive two-way full-range loudspeaker system designed for use in a wide range of portable speech and music sound-reinforcement applications. It consists of a high excursion 10″ reflex-loaded low-frequency driver with a low mass voice coil for improved transient response, and a 1″ high temperature dome compression driver with extended high-frequency reproduction on a wide-dispersion Converging Elliptical Waveguide in a trapezoidal enclosure. These components are matched with an internal passive crossover network.
When permanently installed, the cabinet presents a discreet appearance with no visible side handles to enable visually unobtrusive loudspeaker arrays. When being used for portable applications, the pole-mount blanking plug can be removed for use with speaker stands and poles, and a single carrying handle is provided for transportation. The TCX10 features a 90° horizontal x 60° vertical Converging Elliptical Waveguide, which generates a smooth wave-front while giving excellent pattern control. The waveguide can be rotated through 90° within the cabinet, allowing a swap of the horizontal and vertical dispersion patterns. This feature is useful in retaining the wide horizontal dispersion when mounting the cabinet horizontally in venues where ceiling height is limited.
The trapezoidal cabinet includes internal threaded M10, M8 and M6 rigging points for use with Turbosound wall and ceiling brackets, and provides compatibility with OmniMount loudspeaker mounting brackets. The cabinet is constructed from 5/8″ (15 mm) birch plywood. A perforated steel mesh grille backed with reticulated foam protects the drive units from damage. The rear connector panel provides two Neutrik Speakon NL4 connectors for input and link functions, wired in parallel with a 4-way barrier strip connector.
